ROCKON
It is not easy to make music. It hurts, it physically breaks our hands and at times it destroys us, making us think about giving up. Rockon is an intentionally destroyed piece that plays with textures to show the musician's struggle to achieve mastery. In this sculpture we see a metal "pick" at the top representing the shiny reward if triumph is achieved and a concrete and brick base that shows the harshness of the world out there.
